Kingsmen Counseling’s mission is to support, encourage, and empower students to achieve success through academics, social relationships, and effective decision-making in a structured but nurturing environment focused on equity, access, and success, while preparing them for high school and beyond. Filipino American History Month
Filipino American History Month is celebrated in October. The month of October was chosen to commemorate the arrival of the first Filipinos in the continental U.S. on October 18, 1587. We take the time to acknowledge a deep and impactful history, celebrate a vibrant culture, and promote greater understanding and appreciation for the enduring contributions of Filipino Americans to the fabric of American society.

Hispanic Heritage Month
Hispanic Heritage Month is a month-long (September 15- October 15) celebration of Hispanic and Latino history and culture. It was first proclaimed as a week-long celebration by President Johnson in 1968, then soon after expanded to a month. We recognize the many contributions made to the history, culture, and diversity of the United States, including important advocacy work, vibrant art, popular and traditional foods, and much more.

School Counselors are here to support the growth and development of students, guided by three domains defined by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA):

These domains promote a growth mindset and behaviors that enhance the learning process and supports a positive and equitable culture of college and career readiness and success for all students.


Academic Development
Counselors assist in learning and implementing strategies and activiites to support and maximize each students' ability to learn. Counselors review academic progress, promote the district academic requirements as well as supports available when needed.
Social/Emotional Development
Counselors help students manage emotions and learn and apply interpersonal skills. Counselors address personal crisis situations with students and discuss coping skills and resources.


Career Development
Counselors help students understand the connection between school and the world or work, and plan for a successful transition from middle school to high school to postsecondary education/career.
